Hyperdome Bike Hub helps homeless kids

On the 5th of April 2008 both Ben and Peter saddled up in Hornsby NSW to commence a 1000km bike ride to Southport all in the name of Charity. As passionate cyclists they lined up with 170 other riders ito help raise upwards of $200,000.00 to help with FR Chris Rielys Youth off the streets program. The Hyperdome Bike Hub Helped out with this Donating well over $3000.00 and offered the Hub Van as a pilot Vechile for other Riders. The ride consisted of 7 gruelling days with the smallest being 114km and the largest 163km. 4 of the days were overshadowed by terrential rain and only fining up from Grafton to Southport. A special Thanks to the Rotary club for making this possible.

Bryce McMaster sponsored by Hyperdome Bike Hub

Just a quick update for those of you who are aware we have sponsored a young triathelete named Bryce McMaster. He is 18 years old and has been in triathlon for six months and is part of the QAS team. He previously rode a trek which was far too big for him and was falling behind on the bike leg. We have put him on a Ridley Damocles and met with immediate success. He has been riding the bike for 4 weeks and won his first race at Robina two weeks ago. He then raced at Geelong last weekend and placed high in the under 23 age group in all races. In some events he was asked to block for others and as a result was not riding to win.

Over the weekend just gone he raced the Olympic distance qualifying round at Perth and he won his under 19 age group. This has assured him of selection in the Australian side to race at Vancouver.

Bryce competed in the male Under 19 Olympic Distance Triathlon, and was the only Australian to qualify to compete in this division.

Bryce is a good all-round athlete with a strong track record in cross country competition, however he has only been competing in triathlons for eight months.
